The Miniature Longhaired Dachshund is the most adorable, family loving miniature hound which is "fit for purpose - fit for life". Dachshunds have a insatiable desire for exercise, love the challenge of hunting prey and fit in with the love of a family.
The Dinkidax Show Kennel of Miniature Longhaired and Miniature Smooth Haired Dachshunds was established in 2002 when I purchased a beautiful Miniature Longhaired cream brindle bitch Holly Ribbons who, from a litter of six , I kept and showed Dinkidax Amaryillis. a stunning championship show winning miniature longhaired golden bitch, gaining her RCC and Stud Book Number.
In 2004 I became a licensed breeder of Miniature Long Haired and Miniature Smooth Haired Dachshunds with the Doncaster M.B.C. My kennels are checked annually by the Fire Brigade, Environmental Officers and two vets. I have passed all their criteria for the last 7 years.
Photo above of Miniature Longhaired Dachshund Dinkidax Amaryllis who won 1st Junior Bitch and RCC under Janet Lovick-Gibbs at the Southern Dachshund Ch. Show and whose sister Dinkidax Amaretto subsequently had a litter bred by Mrs Sally Carter from whom I purchased Wildhatch Cropston Boy Of Dinkidax , a red brindle miniature longhaired dog who became my first Champion Miniature Long Haired Dachshund .
I breed a variety of colours of miniature longhaired dachshunds and miniature smooth haired dachshunds including chocolate and tan, black and cream, black and tan, clear red, shaded red and both red brindle and cream brindles. All my puppies are tested by the AHT for Progressive Retinal Atrophy before going to their new owners.

I currently have one Miniature Long Haired stud dog, DNA tested, who
has done well at shows.
Jasper (photo above) became my first Miniature Longhaired Champion
(red brindle) winning 4CCs and 4RCCs in 2008/2009. Donny
became my second
Miniature Longhaired
Champion at LKA in 2008 and has won 3CCs and 3 RCCs
plus winning his Junior Warrant at only 16 months old. I
attend dog shows on a regular basis, and have many Championship Show wins to my
credit.
Dinkidax Dollipop, Donny's daughter is a beautiful black and tan bitch - the image of her dad. (Ch. Dinkidax Donny Rova JW). To date she has won Best Puppy in Breed at Darlington Ch. Show, and Reserve Best Puppy in show at The South Yorkshire Hound Show and East Yorkshire Dachshund Association Show. She has many 1st prizes to her credit. For the record her DNA test came back as a CARRIER - check out her own special page (Lizzy Dripping).
Lizzy has got so used to being weighed she now sleeps in the weighing scales.
Her mum is a black and tan miniature longhaired bitch with a fantastic temperament. Dinkidax Midnite Conshirto. (Lulu). Lulu's litter was born 24th January 2010 - all puppies are sold.
One of my lovely breeding bitches is Dancer - a stunning red and cream bitch, who sadly didn't enjoy the show ring but is a pretty little girl who has produced two litters to-date having recently given birth to two lovely puppies by my Champion Wildhatch Cropston Boy of Dinkidax. One dog and one bitch both Brindle born 5th December. 2009. I await the results from the DNA testss.
Angel is the new addition to the Dinkidax kennel. She is a very pretty shaded red with good bone, excellent ribbing. Her first show was 7th March where she won her class and Best Puppy in Breed. These pictures show just how much she is enjoying the snow
In addition to my love of Miniature Longhaired Dachshunds I had a desire to own a
Miniature Smooth Haired Dachshund so I purchased a lovely
Miniature Smooth Haired puppy (Pepper) Tarkus Red Rose for Dinkidax and bought
her mother Tarkus Red Ruby for Dinkidax at the same time. Mother and
daughter shared the Dinkidax Kennel and Ruby has given me two litters of puppies
From her last litter
I have kept a beautiful chocolate and tan boy Dinkidax Buttons. Sire: Portalutra
Making Ice At Duikidachs Thankfully his DNA is Clear. when he is old enough he will be available
at stud to approved bitches.

Summer a lovely Black and Tan Miniature Smooth Haired bred by Mr. Simon Otter of the famous Portalutra Show Kennels joined the Dinkidax Show Kennels and has achieved considerable success in the show ring. I intend to mate her sometime in 2010.
